Sedation Dentistry
Sleep Through your Next Dental Visit
Does a fear of needles, the sounds of dental tools, or overall dental anxiety make you hesitant to visit the dentist? If so, you’re not alone and The Ziv Studio for Smile Design has the solution—sedation dentistry!
Sedation dentistry allows you to virtually sleep through your appointment, remembering almost nothing and feeling little-to-no pain afterward. It’s a perfect solution for patients who exhibit anxiety or dental phobias during appointments, from cleanings to complete smile makeovers.
Sedation dentistry by Dr. Jonathan Ziv
As an active member of D.O.C.S. (Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation) and the leading sedation dentist in the Thousand Oaks and Agoura Hills area, Dr. Ziv is a true expert in the field of sedation dentistry.
At the Ziv Studio for Smile Design we provide sedation dentistry options to ease the fears of anxious patients, allowing them to receive the treatment they need for a healthy smile. We believe everyone should have access to the smile they deserve, and sedation dentistry makes this possible for millions of people.
Dr. Ziv offers two sedation dentistry options for patients in Southern California: Oral Conscious Sedation and Nitrous Oxide Treatment.
Oral conscious sedation is a popular choice for Dr. Ziv’s patients in Thousand Oaks and Agoura Hills because it only requires patients to take one small pill—no needles or IVs! Patients breathe and speak on their own, allowing Dr. Ziv to ask questions and perform procedures in a quick and effective way. You’ll be in a heightened relaxed state throughout your visit, making hours of time feel like just a few minutes.
The Ziv Studio for Smile Design also provides nitrous oxide treatment as an alternative to oral sedation. For patients who want relaxation during dental procedures, but wish to stay more alert, nitrous oxide treatment is an excellent choice. Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, acts quickly and helps to take the edge off patients’ anxiety. You’ll feel happy, calm, and relaxed with the use of nitrous oxide sedation dentistry—sometimes even gently falling asleep.
